Nikki Gomes, PT, DPT, SCS

Staff Physical Therapist

Nikki Gomes, PT, DPT, MS graduated from the University of Delaware with an Honors Bachelor of Science, with distinction, in Exercise Science, with a minor in Coaching Science and a certificate in Spanish, in 2015. She continued at the University of Delaware to receive a Master of Science in Anatomy and Clinical Health Science, studying hip impingement and its effects on the development of osteoarthritis. Nikki then earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Delaware in 2017 whose graduate school of physical therapy is rated first in the nation by U.S. News & World Report’s “America’s Best Graduate Schools.” She received the Scholarship Award for the class of 2017. Following graduation, Nikki completed the year-long Sports Residency at Premier Physical Therapy and Sports Performance in Middletown, DE working with athletes at Middletown and Appoquinimink high schools in the clinic, in the training room, and on the field.

Nikki grew up in the suburbs of Boston, in Framingham, MA, but feels Delaware is a second home having resided her since college. She is excited to be continuing her career with Premier following her residency. She looks forward to helping the members of the Dover community return to what they love to do, as well as continuing her passion of working with young athletes, which stems from her many years playing sports including soccer, gymnastics, track & field, and volleyball. While at the University of Delaware she played on the Women’s Club volleyball team and helped them to become 2x regional champions.

Nikki currently resides in Middletown, DE with her boyfriend. She loves to travel, spend time at the beach, hang out with friends and family, read a good book, and stay active playing volleyball and trying to mold herself into a long distance runner.
