Lauren Grieder, PT, DPT, OCS, SCS is a physical therapist, Kirkwood Site Director, and partner at Premier Physical Therapy and Sports Performance. A graduate of Middletown High School, Grieder returned to develop her career and serve her hometown following completion of her physical therapy degree in 2007. She spent 9 years in the Middletown clinic and served as the director there from 2014-2017 prior to opening the Kirkwood Highway location in July of 2017.
Grieder holds both a Doctorate in Physical Therapy and a Bachelors of Arts in Biological Sciences from the University of Delaware, whose graduate school of physical therapy is rated second in the nation by U.S. News & World Report’s “America’s Best Graduate Schools.” During her years of clinical practice, she has enjoyed treating orthopedic and sports injuries for patients of all ages and backgrounds. She has a special interest in treating runners, especially the post-partum runner. In addition, she was certified in dry needling by Kinetacore in 2017 and has enjoyed the expansion of her practice with use of this treatment technique.
Lauren is a Board Certified Orthopaedic Clinical Specialist and a Board Certified Sports Clinical Specialist as recognized by the American Physical Therapy Association. She is one of the few dual Board Certified Physical Therapists in the state of Delaware. Lauren’s future career goals include continued development of the mentoring programs for new clinicians at Premier, pursuing continuing education courses to further her knowledge in treatment of the spine, and furthering her education in dry needling.
Lauren lives with her husband and two children in Bear. In her spare time, Lauren enjoys spending time with her family and friends, jogging, and competing recreationally in road races.
