Katie Fulton, PT, DPT, OCS

Orthopaedic Residency Director and Physical Therapist

Katie Fulton is a physical therapist and proud to serve the Delaware community as the Chief Operating Officer for Premier Physical Therapy. She is also the Director of Premier’s Smyrna clinic and Orthopaedic Residency Program. A native Delawarean, she holds both a Bachelor of Arts in Biological Sciences and a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Delaware, whose graduate school of physical therapy is rated first in the nation by U.S. News & World Report’s “America’s Best Graduate Schools.”

During her studies at the University of Delaware, Katie was highly involved as a research assistant for Dr. Lynn Snyder-Mackler, PT, ATC, Sc.D, SCS, FAPTA and is a co-author of the article “Measuring Functional Improvement After Total Knee Arthroplasty Requires Both Performance Based and Patient-Report Assessments” published in the Journal of Arthroplasty in 2010. Katie was also a member of the Pride of Delaware, the University of Delaware marching band and basketball pep bands during her tenure at UD and continues to root for the Blue Hens.

Katie is a Board Certified Orthopaedic Clinical Specialist as recognized by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and an APTA certified clinical instructor. She believes strongly in the importance of clinical education and mentorship to ensure our local community is consistently receiving the highest quality of care.

Katie and her husband still reside in their hometown of Middletown with their two daughters where they enjoy spending time with family, cruising in their Jeep, having nightly dance parties, and spoiling their pup.
